Creative Lives Staff

Maureen Burford, M.Ed.   -   Director

Creative Lives Founder and Director Maureen Burford, M.Ed. has spent the past 32 years helping thousands of children and adults improve their lives via the creative and contemplative arts and education. She has taught, lectured and performed nationally and internationally. 

As Artistic Director of Revels North from 2006 through 2015 , she developed year-round programming, formed a regional afterschool program, and created large-scale productions playing for capacity audiences at Dartmouth College's Spaulding Auditorium.

Burford's extensive educational background includes a Master's degree in creative education and years of study in meditation, philosophy and A Framework for Wise Education with Ellen Tadd.

Dr. Regina Ritscher, Associate for Research and Development

Gina brings decades of creative approaches to working with children to our research and training in holistic education. Gina received her Doctorate in Education from Harvard University, is a published author, has trained and taught at the Prospect School in Vermont, and has a rich background in whole-systems thinking and teaching. Gina work research design and data analysis, editing curriculum and materials for training programs, and grant research and writing.

Karen Ganey, Outreach and CLASP Team Support

Karen has been with us at Creative Lives since we opened our doors in 2011, most recently serving as the Creative Lives Afterschool Program Director.
She has created the outdoor classroom at CLASP and connected students with their local food markets, growers, and their natural desire to support the health of the earth. An accomplished scientist, community organizer and educator, Karen leads nature based writing courses, cooking, nutrition and other enrichment classes, and helps develop curriculum for our teacher and parent training courses.  

Ariana Mercado, Development and Communications Assistant
Ariana joins our team to support our on-line presence and our fundraising and organizational development work.  

Kevin Brotman, Research  Associate
Kevin brings his experience in business and research to the Creative Lives Team, supporting in particular our investigation of helpful educational practices from approaches around the world.

Debora Han, Research and Development Associate
Debora shares her non-profit experience to bear in researching grants and outreach opportunities for Creative Lives, and helping build our organizational capacity.

Adaeze Nduaguba, Research and Development Associate
Adaeze is providing support to the Board of Directors, while participating in our grant writing, research, and outreach planning.
