Maureen Burford, M.Ed. - Director
Creative Lives Founder and Director Maureen Burford, M.Ed. has spent the past 32 years helping thousands of children and adults improve their lives via the creative and contemplative arts and education. She has taught, lectured and performed nationally and internationally.
As Artistic Director of Revels North from 2006 through 2015 , she developed year-round programming, formed a regional afterschool program, and created large-scale productions playing for capacity audiences at Dartmouth College's Spaulding Auditorium.
Burford's extensive educational background includes a Master's degree in creative education and years of study in meditation, philosophy and A Framework for Wise Education with Ellen Tadd.
Consultant to Creative Lives
Ellen Tadd is an internationally known clairvoyant counselor who has been teaching and advising tens of thousands of individuals for over forty years.
She is widely respected for the integrity of her work, the accuracy of her perceptions and guidance, and the clarity and usefulness of her teaching. She has lectured at colleges, universities, hospitals and community groups across the United States.
Tadd's work has been described in books and articles, including articles in Newsweek Magazine and Elizabeth Lloyd Mayer's Book "Extraordinary Knowing: Science, Skepticism and the Human Mind." She is the author of three books: "Death and Letting Go," and "The Wisdom of the Chakras: Tools for Navigating the Complexity of Life," and "The Infinite View" (soon to be released by the Penguin Group). Her work has been endorsed by such internationally known figures as Deepak Chopra and Ken Blanchard. Her teachings are embraced by people of all faiths and perspectives.
Marketing and Public Relations
Perry Allison has served as Vice President of Sales & Marketing at BiddingForGood, Inc., in Boston, MA, and as Managing Director of Northern Stage Company. Ms. Allison has over twenty years of experience as a strategic marketing and sales executive in advertising and publishing. She served as Vice President of Sales at Eons, Inc. Prior to joining Eons, she served as Vice President, Word of Mouth Marketing at Alloy Media + Marketing. Ms. Allison has been at the forefront of several significant new trends in media-the advent of the internet and online advertising and also the early days of mobile advertising and marketing. She served as Vice President of Sales of AltaVista.
She was one of the founding executives of SkyGo. Ms. Allison helped lead the way in evangelizing the new medium of mobile marketing. She served as the Global Chairperson for the Mobile Marketing Association (MMA). She held an accomplished record of marketing and sales positions with leading Internet sites and print publications including Alloy, Bolt, NewsPage, Walking Magazine, Sports Illustrated, Inc. Magazine and SAIL Magazine.
She began her career in the publishing industry working for such venerable brands as Body and Soul Magazine (acquired by Martha Stewart Omnimedia.). She has combined her deep media experience with solid nonprofit experience as well. She has served on several nonprofit boards including the Aloha Foundation in Fairlee, VT, Young Audiences of MA. She spent several years working with advertising agencies in Boston and San Francisco. She acts and directs for community theatre and sings in an acapella group. She serves on the Board of Young Audiences of Massachusetts. Ms. Allison holds a BA in English and Theatre from Skidmore College.
