Creative lives has formed strategic partnerships with:

White River Elementary School
(Creative Lives Afterschool Program site)

The water catchment project with 5th graders is a direct result of our work to establish a beautiful community garden behind the school. Karen Ganey, our outreach and restorative ecology director, helped lead 5th graders in designing a way to keep the garden quenched!

Barre City Elementary and Middle School
(afterschool and Summer school Programming)

Barre City Elementary and Middle School serves close to 900 students Pre-k through 8th grade--72% of whom qualify for free and reduced lunch. Barre City has seen a rise in drug use and related violent crime which makes a strong case for the need for afterschool and summer school opportunities for children. We are actively fundraising to open this site together.

The Family Place in Norwich, VT (co-sponsoring “Adventures in Parenting”)

The Family Place delivers comprehensive programs designed to strengthen positive relationships, teach essential skills and promote enduring healthy growth for families with young children in the Upper Valley and surrounding communities.

Read about our pilot parenting course, which wound up on June 22, 2016.

Together with BALE (Building a Local Economy), Kairos Earth and The Center for Transformational Practice, Creative Lives is forming a consortium of organizations committed to creating change from the inside out--transforming the fears and narrow perspectives that limit our potential individually and collectively.  We support each others mission in the region through strategic support and participation in events where our missions overlap, and through shared outreach to the philanthropical sector.

We work to develop awareness of the key roles inner wellbeing, creative collaboration, and wise action play in healing what is ailing in our world. Creative Lives places a primary focus on the wellbeing of children and the adults who serve them--but all organizations share a deep concern for the future of our young and for the natural world. Our consortium is also sponsored by the Donella Meadows Institute. Read below for more details:
