Professional Development

Whether presented as a keynote, conference session, workshop, or professional development experience, every program is designed to leave participants with practical insights they can apply immediately. Our mission is twofold: supporting the wisdom and well-being of educators while empowering young people with greater agency to learn and thrive.

Grounded in A Framework for Wise Education®, Creative Lives presentations combine engaging stories, thoughtful reflection, experiential learning (when appropriate), and real-world examples to make complex ideas both accessible and immediately relevant.

Programs may be tailored for early childhood educators, K–12 teachers, counselors, administrators, higher education faculty, parent groups, and interdisciplinary teams.

Featured Topics & Presentations

Any of the following topics may be offered as an engaging keynote, conference session, interactive workshop, or professional development experience ranging from 90-minute presentations to multi-day trainings:

The Hidden Infrastructure of Learning: How seven core areas of development shape learning, behavior, relationships, and well-being.

The Epidemic of Disconnection: Restoring inspiration, belonging, and purpose in today's schools.

Building Compassionate, Connected Learning Communities: Practical and playful strategies for strengthening belonging, trust, and healthy relationships throughout the school community.

Inspiring Student Engagement: Transforming distraction, disengagement, and discouragement.

The Wise View: The mechanics of focus, concentration, and wise decision-making.

The Self-Esteem Factor: Helping children develop lasting confidence, curiosity, and resilience.

Caring, Connected Communities: Strengthening relationships among educators, families, and students.

Supporting Emotional Well-Being: Practical strategies for fostering emotional steadiness, empathy, and healthy relationships.

Building Confidence Through Personal Best: Helping children discover the confidence that grows through meaningful accomplishment and balanced effort.

Every school community is unique. In addition to these presentations, Creative Lives works with schools and organizations to design professional learning experiences tailored to their specific goals, priorities, and audiences.

Whole-Team Training

Helping young people thrive begins with supporting the adults who teach and guide them.

Creative Lives' Cohort Training Program brings teams of educators together to explore A Framework for Wise Education®, developing a shared understanding, common language, and practical tools for supporting children, one another, and themselves.

Unlike a traditional workshop, cohort participants learn together over time, applying the Framework in both their own lives and their work with students. As educators grow understanding of the seven core developmental areas within the Framework, they become better equipped to foster these same qualities in the young people they serve.

Schools and organizations consistently report stronger collaboration, deeper relationships among staff, renewed enthusiasm for teaching, and greater confidence in supporting children as whole human beings.
